"Although designed for the same clients at 16th Century Mill, the guest cottage called for a lighter, more relaxed approach- a self-contained retreat created to be comfortable, welcoming and effortlessly timeless. With its own kitchen, living and dining spaces, bedroom and bathroom, it offers everything needed for extended stays, while the bedroom’s view across the stream and waterfall provides a quiet sense of escape. Styled in the same calm, country palette as the main mill, the cottage feels connected yet distinct- a place for family to arrive, unwind and feel instantly at home."
Guest Cottage

Nestled within the grounds of the 16th Century Mill, this charming guest cottage was thoughtfully designed as a self-contained retreat for the same longstanding clients. Originally intended as temporary accommodation during the renovation of the main house, it now serves as a welcoming space for extended family to stay and enjoy the setting at their leisure.

Appointed in the same relaxed, timeless country style as the mill, the cottage includes a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas and two en-suite bedrooms, ensuring comfort and independence for guests. Particular care was given to creating a sense of calm and connection to the landscape, most notably in the bedroom, where views over the stream and waterfall provide a tranquil backdrop.

Though more informal in approach, the design reflects the same attention to detail and sensitivity to context, resulting in a cohesive, characterful addition to the wider estate.
