Grade II Listed Georgian Hall

Plaskitt and Plaskitt are proud to have led the full interior design of this remarkable Grade-II listed restoration project on the edge of York, with Interior Designer Lucinda at the heart of every stage.
Working hand-in-hand with esteemed architects Bramhall Blenkharn Leonard, Lucinda played a pivotal role in bringing new life to this historic country house — a property rich in character but in need of sensitive, modern reinvention.

From the project’s inception, Lucinda worked closely with the homeowners, establishing a lasting relationship that spanned the entire renovation and continued after the family moved in to perfect the finishing details.
In the early stages, Lucinda helped the clients design a self-contained top-floor apartment within the hall, allowing them to live on-site during the complex refurbishment.
Throughout the process, Lucinda maintained an excellent working dynamic with the architectural team, ensuring the interiors echoed the thoughtful restoration of the building’s fabric — from the reinstated timber staircase to the open-plan kitchen and day room overlooking the pond. Every element of the home was carefully considered to honour its history while embracing modern family life, with Lucinda’s refined touch evident in every room.
